Role: Accounts Assistant
Salary: £28,000 – £32,000 DOE
Location: Glasgow (Hybrid)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of year‑end accounts, management accounts and financial reports for a broad and varied client portfolio
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships, acting as a key point of contact and supporting clients with day‑to‑day queries
  • Preparation of corporate and business tax computations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
  • Ensuring full compliance with current accounting standards, regulatory requirements and best practice
  • Reviewing and advising on internal processes, recommending improvements to enhance efficiency, quality and overall service delivery
  • Liaising with HMRC, third‑party stakeholders, senior management and colleagues across the wider practice to support smooth workflow and high‑quality service
Experience:
  • Experience within an accountancy practice (essential)
  • Strong technical understanding of accounting principles and standards
  • Exceptional communication skills with a proven ability to deliver high‑quality client service
  • Highly organised and proactive, with the ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines effectively
  • Collaborative team player with a commitment to maintaining excellent client relationships
  • Advanced systems proficiency and high‑level Excel capability
