Do you want to take your site experience and apply it to something with long term career development, full training, and the chance to work on some of the UK’s most iconic structures?

This is a rare opportunity to move into estimating, supported by a company delivering major structural engineering and rope access projects across the UK. Their teams work on landmark assets including national stadiums, major bridges, power stations, museums, high rise structures and complex industrial facilities. If you want a stable future, technical growth, and the chance to stay in the industry you know without being on the tools every day, this is it.

The Company:

We are working with a leading specialist in structural repair, inspection, maintenance and refurbishment, using advanced rope access methods to deliver work safely and efficiently at height. Backed by a major engineering group, they are established, well resourced, and involved in some of the most recognised projects in the country.
This is a supportive, stable and growing team where development is taken seriously. They will invest in you, train you in estimating, commercial processes and bid preparation, and give you a clear route forward.

The Role:

This is an estimating role focused on structural rope access projects. You will take responsibility for pricing enquiries and tenders, supporting the business from initial enquiry through to award and handover.

Day to day you will:

  • Review tender opportunities and assess suitability against business capabilities
  • Prepare estimates, pricing, bids and offer letters
  • Attend site visits and client meetings to understand scope and methodology
  • Work closely with operations, H&S and commercial teams
  • Produce tender stage documentation including programmes and supporting information
  • Provide rope access insight on techniques, work methods and materials
  • Support improvements to estimating accuracy and processes
  • Carry out full handovers to operations after project award
This is an ideal role for someone who knows what good looks like on site, understands how rope access jobs run, and wants to move into a long-term commercial pathway.

The Individual:

We are looking for people who can show:
  • IRATA Level 2 or Level 3 experience
  • Strong understanding of structural, civil or construction works
  • Insight into rope access delivery methods, risks and constraints
  • Experience on site
  • Commercial awareness and good attention to detail
  • Confident communication skills and the ability to work with clients and internal teams
The Benefits:
  • Full training and development into estimating
  • Backing from a large engineering group
  • Hybrid working
  • Stable workload and high-profile projects
