About the Role

A well-established specialist in structural steelwork and civil engineering is seeking an experienced Tekla Draughtsman to join their fabrication team. The successful candidate will play a key role in producing accurate 3D models and detailed fabrication drawings to support workshop and site teams on precision steelwork projects, delivered to Execution Class 3 standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Create detailed 3D structural steel models using Tekla Structures, adhering to Execution Class 3 requirements.
• Produce fabrication drawings, general assembly (GA) drawings, and assembly details suitable for workshop use.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and fabrication teams to ensure design accuracy and practicality for fabrication and installation.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and site measurements to develop precise models.
• Ensure all work meets company standards, client requirements, and industry regulations.
• Support design updates and revisions throughout the project lifecycle.

About You

• Proven experience as a Tekla Draughtsman within structural steel fabrication.
• Proficiency in Tekla Structures for 3D modelling and detailing.
• Strong understanding of Execution Class 3 structural steelwork standards.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Exceptional attention to detail with strong organisational skills.
• Good communicator, able to work effectively within a team environment.
