Technical Lead (Systems & Electrical)
Certain Advantage is hiring for a Technical Lead (Systems & Electrical) to join a major nuclear project based in Somerset.

The Role
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Technical Lead (Systems & Electrical) to oversee key supplier activities related to nuclear instrumentation and radioprotection systems. Working closely with main equipment suppliers and internal engineering teams, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring technical compliance, contract alignment, and successful delivery of complex electrical systems.

Key responsibilities include:
* Managing and resolving technical queries from suppliers and clients.
* Overseeing the supplier’s design, manufacturing, and delivery activities for radioprotection instrumentation.
* Reviewing supplier technical documentation and leading surveillance report assessments.
* Monitoring and managing technical risks, UK design changes, open points, exemptions, and contract transfer sheets through established project tools.
* Supporting the client in managing supplier performance, interface coordination, and schedule alignment during the contract lifecycle.
* Ensuring integration and coordination with EDVANCE and other engineering disciplines.

The Individual
We’re looking for candidates who can demonstrate:
* Experience in radioprotection systems, instrumentation design, procurement, or installation.
* Knowledge of RCC-E electrical regulations and key technical standards (e.g. NFC 15-100, NF C 13-200, BS 7671, IEC 60909).
* Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple interfaces and technical workstreams.
* Confidence in supporting contractual and technical negotiations, backed by solid engineering judgment.
