Technical Lead Process Engineer
Certain Advantage is hiring for a Technical Lead Process Engineer to join a major nuclear project based in Somerset.

The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Technical Lead Process Engineer to take a key role within the Fluid Systems team, guiding the design and integration of complex process systems critical to the business’ operation. Reporting to senior engineering leadership, you’ll provide expert oversight across system architecture, fluid mechanics, and thermal-hydraulic modelling-ensuring functional, safe, and compliant system delivery.

Key responsibilities include:
* Leading system architecture and technical direction for assigned Balance of Nuclear Island (BNI) fluid systems.
* Providing expert input on system design, thermal-hydraulics, and fluid mechanics.
* Supporting and mentoring system engineers on calculations, documentation, and quality assurance.
* Performing detailed technical checks of deliverables and changes.
* Representing Fluid Systems in internal and external forums to ensure design alignment.
* Leading impact assessments and defining specifications for design changes.
* Contributing to continuous improvement through lessons learned and process development.

The Individual
We’re looking for candidates who can demonstrate:
* Strong understanding of thermal-hydraulic systems and fluid mechanics.
* Familiarity with UK nuclear regulations and fluid system safety standards.
* Confidence in leading multi-disciplinary teams and engaging with a range of stakeholders.
* A proactive mindset with sound judgment and technical credibility.
