Site Agent – Structural Steel 
Chester, Cheshire 
Salary: Negotiable (DOE) 

Are you an experienced Site Agent with a background in structural steel? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing contractor delivering high-quality fabrication and installation projects across the Northwest and beyond. With a strong client base that includes Tier 1 contractors and major blue-chip companies, you’ll play a key role in the safe, efficient, and profitable delivery of prestigious projects.

The Role: 

As Site Agent, you’ll report to the Operations Manager and take responsibility for leading and managing a team of Site Managers and Supervisors. You’ll act as the main point of contact for clients and stakeholders, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities: 
  • Lead, coordinate, and oversee structural steel projects on site.
  • Manage and support Site Managers and Supervisors, ensuring safe working practices and adherence to programmes.
  • Act as the primary liaison with clients, stakeholders, and Tier 1 contractors.
  • Ensure compliance with NEC contracts, programmes, and site documentation.
  • Manage Early Warnings (EWNs), Compensation Events (CEs), and support pricing/variations.
  • Oversee fabrication, delivery, and installation of structural steel to Execution Class 3 (EXC3) standards.
  • Drive safe, efficient, and commercially successful outcomes across projects.
About You: 
We’re looking for someone with:
  • Proven experience as a Site Agent in the structural steel sector.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate site teams.
  • Excellent client and stakeholder management abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of fabrication and installation to EXC3 standards.
  • Familiarity with NEC contracts, EWNs, CEs, and pricing works.
  • Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to project delivery.
  • Flexibility to travel across the Northwest and further afield when required.
