Description of role:

Certain Advantage are recruiting on behalf of our prestigious trading client in London for a Senior DevOps Engineer who can offer expertise in global futures exchanges and the full exchange-traded derivates lifecycle. Knowledge of FIX Engineering – Financial Information eXchange (FIX) protocol – is essential.

Suitable candidates will offer knowledge of market data providers (Bloomberg, Refinitiv, etc.) and liquidity aggregation platforms and your knowledge of timeseries analytic frameworks/technologies (kdb, shakti or similar) should be evident in your CV/application.  
This is a contract position starting ASAP until Dec 2026 initially.

Your role will be a hands-on Engineer and member of a small high performing team responsible for global derivatives trading production environments.

Your work will be driven both by product teams but also engineering team backlogs of improvements and tech debt.

Activities will include;
  • Ensuring proactive management of critical end-to-end workflows, continuously improving stability and resilience through close collaboration with delivery and infrastructure teams
  • Assisting with troubleshooting and issue resolution across development, support, and technical business users.
  • Serving as an SME for trading systems initiatives.
  • Being part of the on-call rota working as part of a global team development engineers
