Description of role:
Certain Advantage are recruiting on behalf of our prestigious trading client in London for a Senior DevOps Engineer who can offer expertise in global futures exchanges and the full exchange-traded derivates lifecycle. Knowledge of FIX Engineering – Financial Information eXchange (FIX) protocol – is essential.
Suitable candidates will offer knowledge of market data providers (Bloomberg, Refinitiv, etc.) and liquidity aggregation platforms and your knowledge of timeseries analytic frameworks/technologies (kdb, shakti or similar) should be evident in your CV/application.
This is a contract position starting ASAP until Dec 2026 initially.
Your role will be a hands-on Engineer and member of a small high performing team responsible for global derivatives trading production environments.
Your work will be driven both by product teams but also engineering team backlogs of improvements and tech debt.

- Ensuring proactive management of critical end-to-end workflows, continuously improving stability and resilience through close collaboration with delivery and infrastructure teams
- Assisting with troubleshooting and issue resolution across development, support, and technical business users.
- Serving as an SME for trading systems initiatives.
- Being part of the on-call rota working as part of a global team development engineers
