Certain Advantage is partnering with an engineering business to recruit an experienced Assembly Operative. You will support the manufacturing teams to ensure customer orders are fulfilled.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble customer orders and operate machinery (saws, guillotines, drills, welders, PEM machines, etc.).
- Check materials and tooling against work orders for suitability and accuracy.
- Work within machine limits and follow safe handling and lifting procedures.
- Inspect work for quality before submission; complete any required corrections.
- Keep tools and machinery clean, maintained, and report defects promptly.
Your Background:
- Experience of working in an engineering workshop
- Competent in basic processing of parts using general sheet metal and fabrication machinery, including hand-operated tools.
- Ability to read and work directly from drawings
