Our client, a leading automotive manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Administrative Specialist to support key operational functions. This role is critical in maintaining the smooth running of both Engineering Design & Test (ED&T) and Overheads financial operations.
The role
- Document editing, proofreading, formatting, and production
- Data entry, document filing (paper and electronic), and archiving
- Scheduling and coordinating meetings, diaries, and travel arrangements
- Receiving and relaying telephone messages from internal and external stakeholders
- Supporting financial processes: Overheads forecast tracking (travel, IT, licenses, etc.) and ED&T analysis
- Managing SAP-based processes including accruals and shopping carts
- Chasing input for Non-Product Capital requirements and government grant submissions
- Supporting the business planner in weekly financial meetings and gathering Product Direction Letter inputs
- Generating monthly reports and tracking business metrics
- Developing and refining business processes to support operational improvements
The individual
- Demonstrated experience in an administrative or business support role, ideally within engineering or manufacturing environments
- Advanced knowledge of operational procedures, tools, and systems (e.g., SAP, MS Office Suite)
- Able to work independently under limited supervision in non-routine situations
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Experience training, delegating, or reviewing the work of junior team members is a plus
