Description of role:
World Class Defence Organisation is currently looking to recruit a Project Officer subcontractor on an initial 12 month contract. Any experience of Power BI would be very beneficial.
Rate: £30.00 per hour
Location: Bolton
Hybrid / Remote working: Hybrid role of 3 days per week onsite
Contract: 37 Hours per week
Overtime: Hours worked over 37 hours per week will be calculated at ‘time and a quarter’
Duration: 12 Months (initially and then ongoing and long-term thereafter)
IR35 status: Inside IR35 (Umbrella)

Project Officer Job Description:
- Understanding of how manufacturing data supports cost, schedule, quality, and delivery performance within a project environment.
- Experience extracting, transforming and analysing data from project and manufacturing systems (such as Primavera/MS Project, ARM, JIRA, SAP)
- Ability to translate complex manufacturing and materials data into clear, structured reports and dashboards for project teams and management.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, including creating, maintaining, and analysing manufacturing data reports, using formulas, tables, and basic data analysis techniques.
- Experience creating professional PowerPoint briefing materials to support internal reviews, project updates, and management meetings.
- Awareness-level knowledge of Power BI, including interpreting existing dashboards and reports to support project performance monitoring.
- Strong attention to detail with a methodical approach to data accuracy and reporting.
- Clear and confident communicator, able to explain data-driven insights to a range of stakeholders.
- Proactive and well-organised, with the ability to manage multiple reporting tasks and meet regular deadlines.
Key Responsibilities & Skills
- Analyse and report manufacturing and materials data using SAP
- Create and maintain Excel-based manufacturing performance reports
- Produce clear PowerPoint briefing materials for project and management reviews
- Support project teams with data analysis, reporting, and decision-making
- Interpret and utilise Power BI dashboards at an awareness level
