Certain Advantage is hiring for a Mechanical Engineer Lead based in the Southwest area.
This role is on a permanent basis and is hybrid-based.

The Role:
This role is for a Mechanical Engineer Lead—someone ambitious and ready to make an impact. You’ll be results-oriented and driven to succeed.
You’ll be leading a small, experienced, and collaborative team, and be responsible for:
  • Support engineering delivery across the full project lifecycle including concept development, design, implementation, commissioning, and operational support.
  • Review and approve technical documentation
  • Support configuration management activities.
  • Provide technical oversight to facility modifications, infrastructure upgrades, and asset lifecycle management activities.
  • Support planning, risk management, and progress reporting activities associated with engineering delivery.
  • Support installation, commissioning, and testing activities where required to ensure engineering solutions are successfully implemented.
The Individual
We’re looking for people who can show:
  • Degree in Engineering or relevant technical discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Engineering expertise within a highly regulated or safety-critical industry.
  • Leading engineering teams or coordinating multidisciplinary engineering activities.
  • Delivering engineering solutions across the full asset lifecycle including design, modification, maintenance, and operational support.
  • Understanding of engineering governance, technical assurance, and configuration management.
Desirable Attributes:
  • Understanding of the nuclear industry and/or other safety-critical environments.
  • Supporting infrastructure or facility-based engineering projects.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, or process systems associated with industrial facilities.
  • Working within defence or MoD environments supporting asset lifecycle management.
