Certain Advantage are hiring for a Head of People Services based in Wilmslow.
This role is on an initial 3-month contract basis and is hybrid.

We’re working with an independent regulator responsible for overseeing data protection and information rights. This organisation plays a crucial role in maintaining public trust by ensuring that personal data is handled fairly, lawfully, and transparently across all sectors.

The role:

• Provide strategic leadership across Pay & Reward, HR Shared Services, and Talent functions ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
• Deliver expert guidance and support for pay related change initiatives within the civil service pay framework.
• Shape a compelling employee value proposition and employer brand, while modernising recruitment and selection practices.
• Lead enhancements in HR systems and processes, with a focus on optimising Workday and improving service delivery.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with trade unions, leading negotiations and consultations with confidence and credibility.
• Foster a collaborative and empowered HR culture through inclusive leadership and coaching.
• Ensure robust compliance with employment legislation, internal policies, and governance standards.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of talent strategies and workforce planning initiatives.

 
The individual:

• Significant experience in senior HR leadership roles, preferably within the public sector or civil service environment.
• Strong technical expertise in pay and reward frameworks, with a deep understanding of civil service structures.
• Proven ability to lead and deliver change and transformation initiatives.
• Outstanding stakeholder engagement, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Demonstrated experience in managing complex employee relations and working collaboratively with trade unions.
• Solid background in HR operations, systems (ideally Workday), and service delivery optimisation.

• CIPD qualification or equivalent professional experience is highly desirable.
