Certain Advantages are working with a strong company in the Glasgow area, As the Electrical Manager, you will have experience and knowledge relating to the use of the public sector electricity market and the management of different supply types

The Role
  • Provide expertise and challenge on electrical and lighting matters to support oversight of our contractors on scheme development, delivery and annual investment programmes.
  • Take the lead in setting out future strategy on key lighting matters relating to our future use of our Lighting Central Management System and LED equipment renewal.
  • Develop electrical best practice, policy and strategy and be the technical lead for key electrical policy and standards.
  • Lead on energy management, including financial oversight / management / administration of our national estate of electrical assets, including working with energy suppliers and implementing measures to drive down energy usage.

Experience
  • Eexperience and expertise relating to the delivery of electrical and lighting services in a roads environment, or other relevant transport based equivalent, including the application of relevant industry standards.Knowledge relating to the use of the public sector electricity market and the management of different supply types.
  • Experience of working with a wide range of stakeholders, developing, and maintaining credible relationships and experience in providing advice and support to a senior level.
  • Experience of contract management and successfully delivering a range of priorities in a complex and challenging environment with a flexible approach to team working.

Qualifications
Member of a relevant professional industry body.
Preferably CEng registered with the Engineering Council but not essential.
