Description of role:

We are supporting a leading, Scottish firm in Edinburgh who are looking to add an experienced Legal Document Production Specialist to their team on a full-time, permanent basis. Ideally for this role, you will have similar experience within a legal environment, and within a Real Estate team. You will be proficient in the use of Microsoft packages, have a strong attention to detail and have excellent time and diary management. This is a fantastic role for a proactive individual to join an established team in Edinburgh City Centre!

This is a full-time, permanent role working core business hours Monday – Friday. The salary for this role is up to £32,000 p/a DOE.

Are you who we are looking for?

  • You are an experienced Document Production Specialist
  • You have experience working within a Legal Environment, particularly Real Estate (desired)
  • You are proficient in the use of Microsoft Packages and BigHand (desired)
  • You are highly motivated and can work well individually and within a wider team environment
  • You can manage you time and diary to complete all tasks within set targets and deadlines
  • You have an excellent attention to detail and complete work accurately
  • You are well organised and can prioritise your workload
  • You are a confident communicator both written and orally
  • You are flexible and able to manage an ever-changing workload

What is the day to day like?

  • Type and amend client correspondence and confidential legal documents, following all company styles
  • Proofreading documents, ensuring accuracy
  • Completing all work on the document management system daily and within set timescales
  • Completing a variety of administrative tasks including mail merges, typing standard letters and notes, creating PowerPoints and handling any email inboxes
  • Utilising a variety of systems daily to ensure quality and efficiency of work
  • Building knowledge of practice area protocols and procedures
  • Saving all documents to the internal system, in relevant folders
  • Filing documents both electronically and by hard copy
  • Collating legal documents for DocuSign and arranging for signing when required
  • Providing cover for any breaks, sickness or holidays
  • Assisting the wider team daily when required
  • Completing further ad-hoc administrative tasks when required
