Contract Manager – Manufacturing & Maintenance
Location: Broughton, CH4 (On-site requirement)
Contract Length: 12 months (with likely extension)
Rate: Negotiable (DOE)
We’re partnering with a leading global engineering and manufacturing organisation seeking an experienced Contract Manager to oversee high-value maintenance and service contracts within a large-scale industrial environment.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a solid background in contract management, supplier governance, and performance control—particularly within maintenance, manufacturing, or production settings.
The Role
As a Contract Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing a portfolio of service providers delivering maintenance, calibration, and component manufacturing support across a complex industrial site. You’ll ensure service levels, commercial compliance, and value for money across contracts valued up to £5 million, while driving improvements in safety, cost efficiency, and operational delivery.
Working closely with internal stakeholders, procurement, and subcontractors, you’ll play a key part in maintaining high operational standards and ensuring that every contract contributes to business goals.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor supplier performance across maintenance and service contracts.
- Lead contract governance, KPI tracking, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure all activities meet Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements.
- Review and authorise invoices, ensuring cost performance remains within budget.
- Conduct performance reviews and implement corrective actions where required.
- Support procurement processes including tender evaluations and contract negotiations.
- Maintain compliance with ethics, quality, and audit standards.
- Prepare and deliver structured performance reporting to internal stakeholders.
You’ll be a proactive and detail-driven Contract Manager with a strong understanding of industrial operations and service contract performance. You’ll be comfortable managing multiple stakeholders, challenging contractors when needed, and ensuring governance frameworks are followed to the letter.
Essential experience:
- Proven experience managing service or maintenance contracts (ideally up to £5m).
- Background in manufacturing, production, or maintenance environments.
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding of contract performance management.
- Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
- Previous experience within large-scale engineering or aerospace organisations.
- Working knowledge of EHS governance and compliance.
