The Role
You will be actively working on the shop floor, partnering closely with production teams and senior leadership to identify efficiencies, streamline manufacturing methods, and drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Spend significant time on the shop floor analysing current engineering processes, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing practical method improvements.
- Coordinate shop-floor CI activities, track measurable progress, and report key metrics to the Senior Management Team.
- Work in partnership with senior managers to plan, lead, and execute operational changes that support business growth.
- Read and interpret complex engineering drawings and technical specifications to ensure manufacturing feasibility and process compliance.
- Champion a safety-first culture and enforce strict adherence to active 5S standards across the facility.
What We Are Looking For
- A solid engineering background is essential.
- Experience within aerospace sheet metal manufacturing is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience organizing continuous improvement initiatives and successfully driving operational change.
- Shop-Floor Presence, A pragmatic engineer who thrives in an active manufacturing environment rather than sitting behind a desk all day.
- Strong blueprint reading skills combined with solid computer literacy, commercial awareness, and excellent communication abilities across all business levels.
