CNC Engineer

The Role:
You’ll be working in a busy CNC department, programming and operating a variety of VMC machines (predominantly HAAS), and contributing to the manufacture of precision components.
Key responsibilities include:
- Offline programming using SolidWorks / Mastercam
- Operating CNC machines to tight tolerances
- Manual machining, cutting, and grinding
- Reading and interpreting CAD drawings and work instructions
- Setting up tooling and inspecting parts using precision measuring equipment
- Performing quality checks and maintaining a clean, safe work area
- Contributing to continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing initiatives
- Time-served CNC Engineer with experience in a precision engineering environment
- Confident programming and operating CNC machines (experience with Fanuc controls advantageous)
- Good understanding of quality standards and health & safety practices
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with a team-focused attitude
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision
- Salary circa £35k – £38k (Permanent, full-time)
- 4-day working week (Mon–Thurs, 37.5 hours) – no shift work
- 262.5 hours paid holiday
