This role is critical in leading the design, coordination, and delivery of complex engineering projects—from new infrastructure and facilities to high-spec equipment installations. You’ll combine technical expertise with strong project management skills to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare designs, project controls, specifications, schedules, cost estimates, and production plans for engineering-based projects.
- Oversee the transportation, installation, testing, and commissioning of new infrastructure, facilities, and equipment.
- Monitor project progress and performance against agreed plans, taking proactive action to resolve operational issues and minimise delays.
- Identify, develop, and secure the resources required for successful project delivery.
- Prepare engineering standards, designs, and work specifications, and develop accurate project schedules, budgets, and forecasts.
- Select materials, equipment, project staff, and external contractors to meet project objectives.
- Provide coaching, review work, and delegate tasks to junior professionals.
- Manage large-scale projects or processes with minimal oversight, solving complex technical challenges.
Your Background:
- Proven track record managing large, complex projects from design to commissioning.
- Strong knowledge of engineering standards, manufacturing processes, and installation procedures.
- Skilled in developing schedules, budgets, and forecasts, and managing contractors and suppliers.
- Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Strong problem-solving ability with a hands-on, delivery-focused approach.
- Experience coaching and guiding junior engineers or project staff.
