French Speaking Translator – Glasgow – Salary £ Depending on Experience

Are you a fluent French speaker looking for a new opportunity?
Do you have Translation experience or hold relevant Translation qualifications?
Are you interested in joining a leading, global organisation based in Glasgow?
 
We are supporting a leading, professional organisation who are looking to add a fluent French speaker to their established translation team in Glasgow. Ideally, for this role you will have a translation qualification, strong attention to detail and the ability to complete tasks to high standards within set time frames. This is an excellent role to develop your skills and experience within a professional, global environment!
 
This is a full-time, permanent opportunity working core business hours Monday – Friday. The salary for this role is negotiable, depending on experience.
 
Are you who we are looking for?
  • You are a fluent French speaker both written and orally, as well as fluent in English
  • You hold a relevant Translation Degree or qualification
  • You have translation experience within a professional environment
  • You have excellent French grammar and spelling
  • You are a confident communicator both written and orally
  • You have a strong attention to detail and can proofread documents
  • You are proficient in the use of Microsoft Packages
  • You have strong time and diary management and can work to set deadlines
  • You enjoy working individually and within a wider team environment
 
What is the day to day like?
  • Completing a variety of legal translations from English into French
  • Revising, reviewing, editing and proof reading translations, ensuring accuracy and clarity
  • Developing post-edition guidelines as well as French style guides and terminology databases
  • Providing any feedback when required
  • Working well individually and within a wider team, assisting with training when required
  • Utilising and reporting on any new technology
  • Completing any project or administrative work when required
