Job Title: Supplier Quality Engineer
Location: Darlington (Primarily Remote)
Contract: Until 31/12/2025 (with potential extension)

Overview:
We are seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to join the VPI Supplier Quality team. This role is primarily remote, with occasional on-site presence required at the Darlington plant. The ideal candidate will be based in or near the Darlington area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
• Support supplier selection and validate manufacturing processes.
• Apply APQP, AIAG, and internal tools to ensure zero-defect components.
• Conduct supplier audits and lead quality improvement initiatives.
• Manage build issues, APQP/PPAP processes, and FIRG quality investigations.
• Monitor and report on supplier performance and quality metrics.

Requirements:

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering or a related field (or relevant industry experience).
• Experience with supplier quality, APQP, PPAP, and root cause analysis.
• Willingness to travel to supplier sites in the UK and Europe as needed.
