Are you an experienced payroll professional looking for your next challenge in a fast-paced, client-focused environment? We’re seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to join a busy payroll team. This is a fantastic opportunity by joining this organisation on a 12-month FTC, you’ll take ownership of your own client portfolio, offering variety and responsibility across weekly, four-weekly and monthly payrolls. This role provides the opportunity to work with clients from diverse sectors, advising on everything from pensions to tax compliance. You’ll be part of a friendly, experienced team within a well-established bureau known for its strong reputation. The office offers excellent transport links and free nearby parking. It’s an ideal opportunity to gain valuable experience in a high-volume bureau environment.

 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing for weekly, four weekly, and monthly payrolls
  • Administer pension auto-enrolment and ensure compliance with current legislation
  • Act as the main point of contact for client payroll queries, delivering excellent service
  • Provide expert advice on payroll matters including tax, NI, and pension schemes
  • Ensure timely and accurate RTI submissions and statutory reporting to HMRC
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payroll legislation and best practices
 
What We’re Looking For:
  • Experience in a high-volume payroll bureau, ideally within an accountancy practice
  • Strong working knowledge of UK payroll legislation and auto-enrolment
  • Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., Xero, BrightPay, Sage) and Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information
  • Strong communication skills and a client-focused approach
  • Traveling distance to renfrewshire with full UK rights to work
