The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Quality Technical Assistant to support a nationally significant nuclear design programme. The role will sit within the Joint Design Office (JDO), providing vital support in implementing and improving Quality Management System arrangements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing day-to-day interface activities and addressing minor technical queries from internal teams.
- Supporting the Quality Engineer in the development and rollout of quality arrangements.
- Assisting the JDO Quality Manager in interface investigations and assurance activities.
- Contributing to the implementation of quality control measures and improvement initiatives.
- Helping internal teams understand external standards and project-specific quality requirements.
- Organising and facilitating quality workshops and meetings, including documentation.
- Supporting observation, incident management, and continual improvement efforts.
The Individual
We’re looking for candidates who can demonstrate:
- Experience working in a nuclear, engineering, or design office environment.
- Familiarity with developing and implementing Quality or Integrated Management Systems.
- An understanding of quality assurance practices and quality control principles.
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and how such standards apply within complex, multi-organisational settings.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and organisational skills.
