The role:
- Identify priorities for change to enable delivery at pace.
- Lead and influence delivery of cross-cutting capabilities that enable change.
- Own enterprise architecture vision, strategy, and roadmaps, including current, future, and transitional states.
- Support collaboration across the business and understand organizational ecosystem and interdependencies.
- Take a strategic view across all architectural domains, portfolios, and programmes.
- Guide business, technology, and data decisions by recommending reuse, sustainability, and scalability to reduce risk and maximize value.
- Establish architectural principles, policies, and standards.
Skills & Experience
- Enterprise Architecture: Lead architecture design across technology, people, processes; influence organisational structures and ensure alignment with strategy.
- Architecture Communication: Communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders, mediate complex discussions, and gain support for high-risk initiatives.
- Problem Definition & Shaping: Frame complex problems, define solutions, challenge assumptions, and coach others in problem-solving.
- Making Architectural Decisions: Make and guide high-risk, complex architectural decisions; lead governance and assurance processes.
- Commercial Perspective: Evaluate and select suppliers; identify appropriate contractual frameworks.
- Community Collaboration: Resolve cross-team issues, coach on team dynamics, and grow the architecture community.
- Strategic Foresight: Assess industry and societal trends, anticipate policy changes, and build organizational resilience.
